Baptism is entry into the Church and new life in Christ. The person is immersed three times in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Life in the Church
The sacrament joins the believer to Christ’s death and resurrection. The Church baptizes infants as well as adults who come to faith. Parents and godparents take responsibility for nurturing a child in Christian life.
